Isoclad raise money for North Tyneside Breast Cancer support group
Positively Pink, a North Tyneside Breast Cancer Support Group was the charity of choice when Isoclad Insulated Panels decided to raise money on their Christmas jumper day (is it February already?!)
Positively Pink is a local charity based at North Tyneside General Hospital. The aim of their work and events is to raise awareness, together with valuable funds to benefit patients receiving breast cancer treatment in North Tyneside. This incredible charity also provide additional treatments such as counselling, headwear for patients undergoing chemotherapy and a ‘top to toe’ service on the Oncology Unit at North Tyneside General Hospital. This service provides patients undergoing chemotherapy or drug treatment therapies for cancer with moral boosters such as manicures, massages etc. Anything which may help patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer feel more confident about themselves and their image.
Everyone at Isoclad donned their favourite festive knit and as a result, were able to donate a queenly sum to this super charity that is very close to all of our hearts here.
Breast Cancer is an incredibly cruel disease and, like with all cancers, early detection is the key to successful treatment. Be sure you take the time to get to know your breasts and follow the breast awareness five-point code:
1 Know what is normal for you
2 Know what changes to look and feel for
3 Look and feel
4 Report any changes to your GP without delay
5 Attend for routine breast screening if you are aged 50 or over
