Fire-rated hoarding panels for the London Underground
- Firestop 10
- Firestop 12

About the project
Isoclad supplied fire rated hoarding panels for a major refurbishment project within the London Underground network. The client required a reliable temporary partitioning system that could maintain safety, protect the public and support ongoing works within a live station environment.
Project needs
The hoardings had to meet strict London Underground fire and safety requirements while remaining practical to install in a busy, high footfall area. The solution needed to be non-combustible, durable, and able to provide a clean, secure barrier throughout the construction period.
Our solution
Isoclad supplied Firestop panels, giving the contractor a non-combustible system with proven, certified fire performance.
The system provided:
- Safe temporary walling for public and staff areas
- A stable and secure structure for high traffic zones
- A clean finish that supported wayfinding and site organisation
- Simple installation and removal to suit the project programme
Our technical team ensured the correct specification and compliance with London Underground standards.
Outcome
The Firestop hoardings delivered a safe, compliant, and professional barrier throughout the works. The panels remained stable and reliable in a demanding environment, helping the contractor complete the project with confidence. The installation met all London Underground requirements while maintaining a tidy and well-managed work zone.

What they said
Isoclad hoarding systems have now been specified on all future projects London Underground Limited and Transport for London. This is a great result for Isoclad, but also a smart move for the southern transport giants who have a flexible, efficient, and experienced hoarding solution in their portfolio.
